Last weekend saw the annual, Welsh Premier League Officials, seminar for the 2015/16 season. The seminar was held at the Welsh Football Trust HQ in Newport, Dragon Park.

The Seminar saw over 50 officials both referees and assistant referees attend the 2 day event.

The weekend was split into two sections. Saturday saw all the officials take part in their annual pre-season fitness test and practical training sessions. This year the officials were tested on their fitness by using the FIFA fitness test, they also had their body weight and also body fat percentage measured.

The Sunday saw the conference take place. The calibre of the guest speakers at the Conference highlights the professional approach towards refereeing in Wales with the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) Head of Sports Science, Simon Brievik, Adam Watts (PGMOL Assistant Referee Coaching Team), Alex McInch (Cardiff Metropolitan University) and Alan Snoddy (FIFA Instructor, member of Referee Convention Panel and a former World Cup referee) all holding valuable seminars covering a wide range of topics across the two days.
