Serie A Referees To Be Suspended For A Month

Two of ’s top referee’s could be sidelined for up to a month after poor performances in their respective matches at the weekend.

 was in charge of ’s visit to  and issued Nenad Tomovic with a harsh red card, whilst also gifting the home side two soft penalties.

Meanwhile,  was handed ’s home game with  in which he gave the away side a penalty for handball on Walter Samuel, but replays show the ball didn’t come into contact with his hand at all.

Gervasoni also turned down a number of penalty claims from Inter, who claimed of a referee conspiracy against them after the match.

Stefano Braschi, a member of the referee’s commission, agrees both made errors during their matches and hinted to the Corriere dello Sport that the two officials in question may not officiate another match until early May.
